YOU Are Amazing!
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me in the past 24 hours. I’m completely blown away by the love you’ve all shown me and my little family. Blow. Away. From meals, donations, messages, post, prayers, sharing our journey, starting prayer chains, and so much more… You are keeping me strong and determined, so thank you!
How Am I Feeling?
No treatment complaints for today. I even got to “workout” again today! I am a little nervous about the new chemotherapy medication that I’ll be receiving tomorrow. If you could please say a quick prayer for peace, comfort, and a complication free administration, I would be so grateful!
My mental health is still in the crapper. I haven’t been able to see Ryan since Tuesday and I miss her so very much. She also isn’t doing great without Mama, but each day is getting a little better for her. *I think* Please keep praying for us during this transition.
Diagnosis Update
I talked to Doctor Ben about my diagnosis, based on a comment I heard yesterday. I’ve been advised that they will be using the terms lymphoma and leukemia interchangeably with my diagnosis. I am presenting as Lymphoma, but because of my bone marrow counts it can also be considered leukemia. Which is why we are following the leukemia protocols.
Short version… I have Stage 4 T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma with Bone Marrow involvement. (They apparently use stages and risks interchangeably as well.) I am being treated with the T Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia Protocol. Both of these diagnosis utilized the same medications with only slightly altering the treatment plan. The leukemia protocol is about 2 months longer on the front end.
The PET Scan showed “spotty” bone marrow involvement, localized to areas near lymph nodes. There were many areas in the bones that appeared “normal.” It is possible that if they had drawn bone marrow from an alternative location, that we may not have received any, or at least very little, cancerous cells.
