We’re one third of the way through this admission! CELEBRATE with me people!!!
They finally got my results back from the pathology report on the spinal fluid I had drawn on Tuesday. ZERO cancer cells were found! Thank you for praying for these great results. God continues to amazing me through all of these valleys.
I had some pretty crummy nausea for about 24 hours but was able to push through. Thank you for each of you who prayed for me during that time.
Now, I’m having a bit of side pain. It started pretty dull and inconsistent yesterday, but today has been constant and more moderate. When talking to my medical team I learned that it’s possible that my body can develop kidney stones, because Chemotherapy is destroying cancer cells. That is exactly what we want it to do, but the destroyed cells have to go somewhere. Luckily, our body has these two magic beans that filter out yucky stuff. Thank you Kidneys! Sometimes the volume of destroyed cells can create stones. This isn’t something I’ve had experience with, but know that it is a very unpleasant experience for most. Please say a prayer that the pain remains manageable, even if there is a stone.
I’ve started to get a touch of cabin fever, but I’m feeling optimistic and oh so loved! I will never be able to repay any of you for the love and gratitude that you’ve shown me and my family through this whole ordeal. I’m reminded daily that God is more amazing than we will ever fathom this side of heaven. He doesn’t fit in our box!
To keep me entertained while waiting for our next chemo day, help me come up with a hashtag! I’ll link this on Facebook, then just comment your best hashtag idea. Make it personal and creative and memorable!
