March 8, 2019

Summer of 2021 is when they are currently projecting my treatment to be over. Of course, that’s if all treatments go as planned and the cancer doesn’t come back at any point. They’ve been saying two years from the beginning, but putting a date on it…

Plans

We met with my Care Manager today and discussed a tentative schedule for the remainder of the year. It’s a lot. Even though I won’t be inpatient for a month straight after this, I will still be getting treatments multiple days per week. Visits will be in the form of outpatient treatments, a few inpatient treatments, and home care treatments. Plus, room for delaying treatment based on blood work, inpatient stays for unforeseen illnesses, and more than likely transfusions.

She also discussed that some of the new medications that they will be introducing cause a lot of side effects. She has been managing care for over 20 years, and I trust her feedback. She said the next month of treatments (after this admission) will be one of the worst. *sigh*

TMI – Update

My breast is still firm and tender to the touch. Still no signs of infection. Thank you Jesus! Please continue to pray that the milk drys up completely, and we remain infection free.

Prayer Request

  • Please continue to pray for my complete and ultimate healing.
  • Pray that every cancerous cell is destroyed and never returns.
  • Pray for my TMI mention.
  • Please pray that any new medications have limited or no side effects.
  • Pray for Mike and I to make the “right” choices regarding our family. (Work, finances, childcare, medical care, etc.)
  • Please pray that I continue to be covered in God’s amazing grace and mercy.
