Getaway

We received approval last month for a long weekend getaway. I didn’t say anything because, as we all know, nothing is definite when you’re getting Chemo.

We had a wonderful time making memories and watching all of our kids play.

Days 1 and 2 were awesome and I had no complaints. Day 3 I woke up so nauseated and began vomiting uncontrollably. We resorted to calling an ambulance after about 5 hours. We spent the remainder of the day in the emergency room. The vomiting ceased, but I’ve been nauseas since. The drive home today was a little rough, but we made it!

We are thankful for our great host, travel buddies, and safe travels.
