We made it to Houston, and honestly it went better than I expected. However, I somehow managed to book a rental car through a location other than the airport. Ummm what?! How does this even happen? It took a while, but we managed to get a car and get to our apartment. Let me just say the advertisement for this place is a lot different than what we actually received. (It’s going to be a cozy couple of days!) I’ve already made arrangements to move us on Wednesday, to an actual apartment. Thank God for last minute vacancies and a financial blessing we received from some very sweet friends. (Thank you!!) I think we will be much more comfortable once we get settled in our new place. I’ll have an address for those of you asking, in a couple of days.
Today, I spent most of the day at the hospital outpatient clinic. This is where all of my treatments will be, unless I experience secondary illnesses that require inpatient care. We collected a lot of blood for additional testing, and an ECG. Count depleting chemo starts Wednesday. After three days of chemo, I’ll have two days off and then T Cells administration! This is the good stuff ladies and gentlemen.

I’m still feeling so unsure of everything, but I’m here. And I’m doing it scared! Dr. Hill spent a lot of time with me today going of side effects, symptoms, and expectations. While it did help alleviate some of my concerns, my anxiety is still very much… out of control.
Lastly, if you’d like to read about this specific trial, you can check it out here.
Please pray for no secondary infections, no side effects, positive outcome, healthy family, and quick and timely transitions.
